Artist's Statement

My hope for my work in acrylic paint is the expression of complex themes, such as the dynamics of relationship, in a simple manner.  I am excited by the challenge of representing such ideas as the power of relationship or the passion for things that we hold dear through art.  I find joy in creating a simple line that relates meaning to others in an abstract piece.

I have found art is a way for me to grow, be quiet with myself and challenge my comforts.  It is an expression of how I deal with a bad day, my constant pursuit of becoming a better person and the side of me that is willing to take a chance.  Expression through visual arts is one of my greatest teachers about my own character.
